Wasser Berlin International, the meeting place of water industry experts, is strengthening its image. The trade fair for water and wastewater, which takes place from 23 to 26 April 2013, has developed a concept that takes the changing situation in the water industry into account.
From 23 to 26 April 2013 at Wasser Berlin International, for the first time the focus will be on the Middle East. Founded in 2009, the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) will be the official partner of the fair.
The BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues witnessed record-breaking participation on November 8, 2023. With an impressive turnout of over 800 registrations from more than 70 countries, the conference explored the theme of “Closing the Loop – Circular Water Economy,” demonstrating a steadfast commitment to sustainability in the global water landscape.
Titled “Closing the Loop – Circular Water Economy”, the BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues will focus on the important topic of closed water cycles on 8 November 2023. The consequences of global climate change and the increasing scarcity of resources call for new and holistic ways of managing water.
On 9 April 2019, the international water community comes together at Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften for the BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues 2019 titled Inspired by Nature: Combining Natural and Engineered Systems in Water Management. The conference is hosted in cooperation with the Horizon 2020 project AquaNES.
On 22 October 2018 more than 120 participants from the international water com-munity came together in the “Humboldt-Box” located in the heart of Berlin for this year’s BLUE PLANET Berlin Water Dialogues supported by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises.
Unlike for us, water does not come from a tap in many countries, where this life-giving resource is scarce. Around the world 650 million people have no access to clean drinking water. In order to let schoolchildren and other interested visitors find out about every aspect of this important resource, at Wasser Berlin International 2017 Messe Berlin is organising the 13th edition of WASsERLEBEN, an interactive exhibition.
On 1 March 2014 Dr. Fritz Holzwarth was appointed as the new managing director of Wasser Berlin e.V. He succeeds Arnd Böhme who held the post of managing director for many years.
At the 6th annual conference of German Water Partnership, experts from industry, politics and science discussed demands and market opportunities in international water management.
Between 23 and 26 April more than 31,000 professionals from all over the world visited WBI 2013 to find out about innovative products, adapted services and individual approaches in all fields of water management. The network of the export-oriented German water management and research, German Water Partnership (GWP) presented itself together with 20 member companies very impressively at a joint booth and at the diverse supporting programme.
